I’m a lifelong Brown County resident. I grew up in De Pere and now live in Howard, where my wife and I have owned our home for 11 years. We have been married for 11 years, have two energetic kids, and three dogs who somehow think they run the house. Between bedtime stories, swim practice, and peeling wrestling kids off my head, I see firsthand the hopes and challenges families face in our community. My family is my anchor, my inspiration, and the reason I show up to make Brown County a place where kids and adults can thrive.
For the past two years, I have served as a school counselor at De Pere High School, helping students navigate academics, career planning, and the challenges that come with growing up. Before that, I spent 12 years as a business teacher at Bay Port High School, working to prepare students with real-world skills and confidence for life after graduation.
My commitment to the community extends beyond the classroom. I have worked at St. John’s Men’s Homeless Shelter, served as Treasurer for a statewide nonprofit student organization, and previously led the Wisconsin Marketing Education Association as its president. Whether in schools, nonprofit leadership, or county government, my focus has always been the same: support people, build strong systems, and leave things better than I found them.
Serving on the Brown County Board has been an extension of the work I have always cared about. Over the past two years, I have attended every board and committee meeting and logged more than 100 hours of service. I chaired the Broadcast Feasibility Committee, leading the effort to make County Board meetings accessible to residents so people can see how decisions are made.
I have worked alongside my colleagues to lower the county tax rate while maintaining essential services, pushed for stronger support within Human Services, and advocated for fair wages for county employees. I believe public service is about showing up, asking thoughtful questions, and making practical decisions that protect taxpayers while supporting the people who rely on county services.
